AmeriCorps Seniors Volunteer Information Session

Tuesday, January 303:00—4:00 PMMeeting RoomHampstead Public Library9 Mary E. Clark Drive, Hampstead, NH, 03841

Kathleen Stuart from the AmeriCorps Seniors Companion Program will be at the library to discuss their program. They're looking for caring and enthusiastic individuals to provide companionship and transportation to local homebound older adults.

If you are aged 55 and over, have a limited income, and can volunteer 10 hours weekly, you could make a big difference in the lives of the most vulnerable NH residents.  In addition to the wonderful feeling of helping others, you will receive an hourly tax-free stipend that does not affect subsidized housing, food stamps or other government assistance.  Other benefits include mileage reimbursement, ongoing training and support, paid inclement weather days, personal time, secondary insurance coverage and annual volunteer recognition.
