Dian Mathews moved to Stoddard, NH in 2010 where she learned to garden with rocks and bears. Her first fairy garden, a version of "My Secret Garden", was made at a workshop in Bedford and featured an arbor and a patio bench and a flowering vine. Since then, she has created many more fairy gardens with a variety of materials. She is currently building and planting her second outdoor fairy garden. Dian joined Old Homestead Garden Club in 2010 and became President in 2015, then again in 2021. She has also served as Chair of the Arboretum at Ashuelot Park in 2019 and became a UNH Master Gardener Volunteer in 2020. She is learning how to garden with NATIVE plants both at home and at the Park. Dian's hobbies include gardening, cooking, water color painting and creating fairy gardens.
