Dear Future Hampstead: Time Capsule Letter (Due Date)

Saturday, January 18All DayFront DeskHampstead Public Library9 Mary E. Clark Drive, Hampstead, NH, 03841

To celebrate Hampstead's 275th anniversary we'll be hosting some programs that look at our town's past, so we also wanted to do something special for Hampstead's future residents. Therefore, we will be collecting letters to be opened in 50 years at Hampstead’s 325th Anniversary in 2074!

Your letter must be on a single standard piece of paper (you may use both sides) and should be handed in at the front desk of the library no later than Saturday, January 18th (which is the final day of the yearlong celebration commemorating the signing of the Proclamation of the Hampstead Town Charter on January 19th, 1749). The letters will be collected and tucked away in the library storage area with a note to the librarians in 2074 to open them.

The letter can say whatever you want, but think about sharing something special about Hampstead that you think future residents would be interested in hearing from someone in 2024. It can be as simple as what you love about Hampstead, something special that happened this year in town, or just a little information about who you are and what a typical day in 2024 is like.
