Guided History Hike @ Town Office
Saturday, August 179:00—11:00 AMCommunity Calendar
Join us for a hike through time to celebrate Hampstead's 275th anniversary. We will visit sites of historical importance including the Hampstead Center Cemetery, the Old Town Pound, a colonial stone bridge, a colonial mica mine, trees from the 1700s, and we will walk along Old County Road, a colonial era road that was closed a couple of hundred years ago.
The hike will be about 2-3 miles depending on conditions with 2-300' of elevation gain/loss and we will aim to make it a 2 hour hike. Sturdy footwear and hiking poles are recommended.
