Join us for an insightful workshop that will empower parents to recognize and address anxiety and depression in their children. Led by a licensed therapist with extensive experience in child and adolescent mental health, this seminar will provide valuable insights into the signs and symptoms of these common emotional challenges. Key Topics Include recognizing the signs of anxiety and depression, normal vs. concerning behaviors, supportive and empowering parenting techniques, and finally when to seek professional help. These topics will be addressed as they apply across childhood, with particular emphasis on the teenage years. Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of anxiety and depression, increased confidence in your parenting skills, and a better understanding of how to support your child’s emotional journey. Presenter Bio:

Shani Lang was born and raised in Southern California but has called New England home for nearly 20 years. She completed her undergraduate studies at California State University, Long Beach, before earning her master’s degree in clinical social work from New York University. As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Shani has dedicated her career to providing therapeutic services to children, teens, young adults, and parents.

Throughout her career, Shani has worked in various settings, including community mental health agencies, schools, residential group homes, and in-patient psychiatric facilities. In addition to her clinical roles, she has served as an Adjunct Professor at the university level and as Director of Staff Training and Development. Currently, she volunteers as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) in the New Hampshire court system in addition to her role as Owner/Therapist of her own private practice in Manchester, NH, Empowering Growth Counseling Services, PLLC, where she enjoys helping her clients navigate their life challenges.
