Solar Science for Kids

Wednesday, September 273:00—4:00 PMPavilionHampstead Public Library9 Mary E. Clark Drive, Hampstead, NH, 03841

Did you know that we will be experiencing TWO solar eclipses in New Hampshire within the next year?  Explore and learn about the power of the sun and what to expect with the upcoming eclipses!  We will have materials on loan from the NH State Library including a solar telescope and Sunoculars for everyone to try out and a few other activities to do while you wait your turn!

***This program requires a sunny day.  If it is overcast, we will reschedule to 9/28 @ 4PM***

This program is best for kids and teens in grades 3 and up.  We ask that a parent or adult caregiver accompany participants for this program.  Each family (Hampstead Public Library Cardholders only) who participates in this program will receive a pair of eclipse glasses which can be used for both eclipses.

This is a Hampstead School District early release date.

**Note:  If you are looking to purchase additional eclipse glasses, the two manufacturers recommended are Rainbow Symphony and American Paper Optics.**

Registration for this event has now closed.
