The library owns early copies of John Audubon’s books with his drawings published in the 1800s which are typically housed in the State Archives. We will have them starting Tuesday, October 10th at 6pm until  mid-day on Thursday, October 19th. Stop by to view them at any time in this window by speaking to a librarian.

Additionally, they will be out on display on Wednesday, October 11th from 1pm - 4:30pm. The Library invites local artists of any skill level use them as inspiration to sketch and create their own works of art or anyone wanting a peaceful moment to appreciate art to come in and view the books on display. This is a rare opportunity to see the volumes which reveal Audubon’s scientific and artistic skill.
