“America's Stonehenge,” identified as an accurate astronomical calendar, was built over 4,000 years ago. Its man-made chambers, walls, and ceremonial meeting places were constructed by people well-versed in astronomy and stone construction. Visitors explore the site as a self-guided tour. (A phone app can be downloaded before arrival that contains an audio tour and more detailed information that the paper map which may acquired on site.) Note that, because of the uneven and rocky terrain of the site, only the visitor center and gift shop are handicap accessible.

Each pass offers 1/2-PRICE admission for one family of four (4). It also includes 10% off gift shop purchases. 

Open daily. The Kids' Gemstone Dig is open during the summer. Pass is also good for snowshoeing admission. If you need to rent snowshoes, call museum in advance.

The Aviation Museum of New Hampshire is housed in an art deco terminal and control tower building in Londonderry. The historic building was constructed as a WPA project in 1937 and was moved in 2004 to its present location on the southeast side of the Manchester Airport before being renovated. Hands-on exhibits tell the story of New Hampshire aviation history and include a flight simulator, various historical artifacts, and planes and models.

Pick up your pass at the Library.

This pass is valid for free admission for up to 4 people to the Aviation Museum of New Hampshire (children under 6 are always free). Anyone beyond the four-person limit will be expected to pay normal admission of $10 per adult (age 13+), $5 for seniors, veterans, and children 6-12.

The Children's Museum of New Hampshire offers opportunities for children and families to explore art, science, and culture through dozens of activities and exhibits. Among these are the Thinkering and Steam Innovation Labs; Dino Detective; Music Matrix & Sound Watch; Naturalist's Study; Cave Explorers; and Post Office. The recently re-opened Dover Adventure Playground features a life-size flat-bottomed vintage gundalow boat; a net climber; swings and slides; a 3-story Garrison tower; a 1,200 pound, 3x8 foot climbable Alewife granite fish sculpture; a splash pad; musical instruments; and a life-sized “whale's tail” sculpture perched on the roof of the Dover Pool. Regularly scheduled special events take place throughout the year, including the Dover Mini Maker Faire; Teddy Bear Clinic + Picnic; Toddlerfest; 5K Road Race + Kid-Venture Course; and Earth Day Celebration; among others. A museum shop is on the premises.

To make your reservation, choose the "Discount" options (Adult w/discount, Child w/discount, etc) and they will process your admission, with proof of discount, when you arrive at the museum.

The Children's Museum of NH pass admits up to 4 people at a 50% discount (children under 1 are free).  Pass is not valid for special events. Check website for calendar details.

The McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center, located in Concord, NH, is dedicated to the two astronauts who came from the granite state—Christa McAuliffe and Alan Shepard. The museum offers a range of permanent and changing exhibits that focus on astronomy, aviation, earth and space science, including full-sized replicas of Mercury 7 and Mercury-Redstone rockets, a 1956 XF8U-3 Crusader jet, and items from Star Trek movies, a planetarium, and an observatory. There is a museum shop and café on the premises.

PLEASE PICK UP THE PASS AT THE LIBRARY AND BRING IT TO THE CENTER.

Pass holders can either redeem the pass at the front desk or reserve tickets online for general admission at www.Starhop.com/tickets. There is a section there for Library pass users. You still need to BRING THE LIBRARY PASS when you visit the center.

The Discovery Center pass admits up to 4 people for free to the general exhibit hall. There is an additional fee ($7) for planetarium shows. Call the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center or go online in advance to reserve show tickets. Refer to the Center's website for hours and news about their new exhibits.

The Museum of Science in Boston is located on a piece of land that extends the width of the Charles River, connecting Boston and Cambridge. Dedicated to promoting and educating visitors about science and technology, the museum includes a planetarium, the world’s largest open-air Van de Graaff generator, an IMAX theatre, a butterfly garden, and permanent and changing exhibits on birds, insects and animals; space; dinosaurs; engineering; nanotechnology; math; biology; and more.

Pass Benefits

Reserve a pass in the system for the date you plan to visit the Museum. Your email confirmation from the library serves as your pass. If you have any questions or would like to reserve your Exhibit Halls passes in advance to avoid waiting in line the day of your visit, please call  the Museum at 617-723-2500 (9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. daily).

1. This pass will admit up to 4 people at a 50% discount on tickets to the Museum’s Exhibit Halls. Children under 3 are not included in the count of 4 and are always admitted for free.

2. Your pass can only be used on the date printed on the pass.

3. Please bring your library pass confirmation when you visit.

4. Stop at the Box Office when you arrive at the Museum to exchange your library pass and purchase your Exhibit Halls passes at the discounted rate.

If you are not able to show your Library confirmation on a phone, please request a paper copy of your confirmation at the library.
